1 arrested in series of brazen robberies targeting women in Lower Haight SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) -- The San Francisco Police Department has arrested one suspect and developed "several positive leads" connected to a recent series of robberies targeting women, according to SFPD Investigations Deputy Chief Raj Vaswani. According to a report in the San Francisco Chronicle, there have been multiple robberies targeting women in the area around Lower Haight and Alamo Square over the past few days.Three of the women who spoke to the newspaper said they were walking alone when they were assaulted and robbed of their cellphones. The robberies reported by the Chronicle exhibit similarities to a recent spate of robberies in other parts of the city. Woman, girl injured in Oakland shooting Monday night (BCN) -- Police in Oakland are investigating after a woman and a girl were wounded in a shooting Monday night in East Oakland.A ShotSpotter activation alerted police about 8:45 p.m. in the 3100 block of High Street, where officers found evidence of a shooting but no victims, according to Oakland police spokesperson Officer Kim Armstead. Suspect wanted for stabbing at Levi’s Stadium soccer game While the officers were there, two gunshot victims turned up in the 1800 block of 102nd Avenue. Police determined they had been shot in the area of High and Suter streets.
