AUSTIN (KXAN) – You may have been the champion of your friend’s Memorial Day cornhole tournament, but two Central Texans have taken the backyard pastime to a whole new level. Eddie Grinderslev and Kaleb Batson took home the doubles national title in professional corn hole in Portland, Oregon, Saturday, marking their first national professional win. “These are pretty large tournaments,” Grinderslev said. “[There are] four national championships, and this was the third of four.”“We've been playing together for three years, and we’ve won state championships and things like that, but to win a national title was very big for us,” Grinderslev said. Not just a hobbyGrinderslev said there are many cornhole leagues across the country, but all professional tournaments happen through the American Cornhole League (ACL). In 2015, Stacey Moore founded the league, which standardizes rules and equipment for all levels of the sport, according to media reports. Since 2016, ACL pro...Four-run inning leads Twins past Brewers — thanks to Carlos Correa again

The four-run inning the Twins put up on Wednesday was nowhere near as dramatic as their four-run inning against the Brewers a day earlier. But it got the job done just the same. The Twins concentrated all of their scoring in the third inning on Wednesday, overtaking the Brewers 4-2 in the two-game series finale at Target Field. One key commonality of those rallies? Carlos Correa, who hit a walk-off home run on Tuesday, delivered triple that caromed hard off the right-field wall, allowing a pair of runs to score to tie the score on Wednesday.Correa’s big hit was followed by a Trevor Larnach double off the wall to give the Twins a lead and a Joey Gallo pop fly that fell in behind second baseman Owen Miller, who had been racing back and seemed to lose the ball, perhaps in the hazy sky. Larnach scored on the play. The Twins only managed one more hit following that third inning, but that was enough run support for starting pitcher Bailey Ober and a collection of the Twins’ top bullpen arms....Jurors find second Truck Park shooter guilty of all charges

(The Hill) — Former President Donald Trump was arraigned on 37 criminal charges on Tuesday in Miami on a day at once extraordinary and mundane. He pleaded not guilty to all charges. Get the latest, news, weather, sports and community events delivered right to your inbox! The extraordinary was the nature of the event itself—the first-ever federal arraignment of a former president. The mundane was that the day proceeded largely as expected, with little new being learned about the case and little drama at the court itself. The charges pertain to Trump's possession of sensitive documents at his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida. Related charges, including one count of conspiracy to obstruct justice, also carry the threat of significant prison time if convicted. COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — Automatic external defibrillators, or AEDs, could be placed in nearly every school or sports and recreation venue in Ohio under a proposal that cleared the Republican-dominated House Wednesday with overwhelming bipartisan support. The legislation, sparked by the sudden cardiac arrest of Buffalo Bills player Damar Hamlin in January on the field during a football game in Cincinnati, would require that all public schools, municipally-owned sports and recreation locations such as gymnasiums and swimming pools, and some private schools have on-site AEDs. It cleared the chamber on an 84-6 vote.Current Ohio law allows school districts to require AEDs on site, but it's an elective decision that's left to individual districts.State Rep. Adam Bird of New Richmond, one of the bill's sponsors, said he's confident many districts already have AEDs, but making it a requirement can help further protect students. Under the bill, employees would be required to undergo special tra...Parents of girl who drowned at Kansas City water park file lawsuit
