DEAR ABBY: I am a 23-year-old child of divorce. For nine months, my father has been dating a woman he was seeing while still married to my stepmother. My youngest brother (age 19) and I have yet to meet her. If they marry, this will be Dad’s third marriage. While I love him, he deeply hurt not only my former stepmother but also my mother, because he cheated on them both multiple times. He excuses it by saying he had no other choice.I recently moved back to my hometown after living in New York for 16 months. At some point soon, the three of us, as well as my middle brother, will likely have dinner together. I’m afraid I’ll lash out at her and possibly lose my father in the process.I feel like a child when he tries to explain his behavior in an indirect way. Must I accept this new woman as my father’s partner or risk him dropping out of my life?REVOLVING DOORSDEAR REVOLVING DOORS: If you want a relationship with your father, it’s important that you not lash...La Marina de EE.UU. navega cerca de isla del mar Meridional de China militarizada por Beijing

Entering the season, the expectations, excitement and energy for the Orioles were higher than at any point to start a year since the rebuild began five years ago.The home-opening win over the New York Yankees on Friday — with 45,017 fans, most of whom were in Orioles orange, rocking the park — took those emotions to new heights, with Bryan Baker’s strikeout in the eighth and the one-run victory having the potential to serve as a stepping stone in a post-rebuild world. But, just as the Orioles lost the final two games versus the Boston Red Sox last weekend after an opening day victory, Baltimore followed up Friday’s thrilling triumph with two straight defeats against the Yankees.“We’re playing some close games,” Hyde said after the Orioles’ 5-3 loss Sunday. “I feel like we’re making some mistakes that we can’t do against good clubs. JERUSALEM (AP) — Thousands of Israelis led by at least seven Cabinet ministers marched Monday to an evacuated West Bank settlement, in a defiant signal that Israel’s most right-wing government in history is determined to accelerate settlement building on occupied lands despite international opposition. The march also poses a new test for Israel’s security forces after days of unrest fueled by tensions over a contested Jerusalem holy site.Israeli police and army forces were being deployed to the northern West Bank — the scene of frequent tensions in recent months — to secure the march, which comes after days of fighting in Jerusalem and along Israel’s northern and southern fronts. Tensions between Israelis and Palestinians have reached a fever pitch in recent weeks surrounding the Jerusalem shrine. The ...Latest news
