ST. LOUIS (KTVI) - “Dealing with a prosthetic leg is not as easy as people think it is,” Michael Williams, a St. Louis resident, told Nexstar's KTVI. He said dealing with an airline that lost your prosthetic leg is even harder.“You can’t do this to somebody that’s disabled. Just say, 'Hey, we lost something of yours, but we’re not going to pay for it,'” Williams said. But that’s what he said American Airlines told him. This all started in 2020. Williams was flying from Indianapolis to Charlotte on his way home to St. Louis. ‘Unacceptable’: Video of TSA worker’s handling of bomb dog draws outrage “The special-made leg, I put it in my suitcase. I put the sticker on it that says 'fragile,'" he explained. "I gave it to the young lady at American Airlines when I was checking in. When I get to St. Louis airport, they roll me downstairs to baggage claim. I’m sitting there waiting for my luggage to come off, and never comes off.”Williams said he followed all of American Airlines' delayed o...Trump calls overturning Roe 'a great victory,' dodges on federal abortion ban

Former President Trump called the Supreme Court's decision to overturn Roe v. Wade "a great victory" but did not say whether he would support a federal ban on abortion if he's elected again. "It was such a great victory and people are starting to understand it now," Trump said of the ruling in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, which struck down the 1973 decision protecting abortion rights, when asked at a CNN town hall on Wednesday how he would appeal to female voters in 2024. "You know that they wanted to bring it back to the states but that was probably the least important part of that victory," Trump continued. "Getting rid of Roe v. Wade was an incredible thing for pro-life because it gave pro-life something to negotiate with.""For 50 years this has been going on," Trump added. "I was able to do it and I was very honored to do it." Trump went on to note his support for legal exceptions to have an abortion including rape, incest, and when the life of the mother is in ...Teens take home prizes for Freihofer’s poster contest

U.S. Customs and Border Protection agriculture specialists are working overtime to ensure that imported flowers arrive on time for Mother’s Day, but they must be free of pests and diseases first. According to industry statistics, around 80% of cut flowers sold in the United States are imported from across the world. CBP says that the weeks that lead up to Mother’s Day are some of the busiest of the year, when millions of cut flower shipments arrive from Ecuador, Colombia, the Netherlands, Thailand and Australia. “It is critically important not only to consumers, but to the vitality of the U.S. economy that cut flower imports are carefully inspected by CBP agriculture specialists,” said Carlos Martel, the CBP Director of Field Operations in Los Angeles. “Some of these flowers may carry hitchhiking pests and diseases that could cause millions of dollars in damage to the U.S. agriculture sector.” U. SAN FRANCISCO – One day after Warriors coach Steve Kerr bemoaned what he felt were glaringly obvious flops by Los Angeles Lakers players trying to draw charges, his counterpart, Darvin Ham, claimed the high road, saying he didn’t want to get into a back-and-forth regarding any contentious calls by NBA officials.Kerr said Tuesday there “was definitely some gamesmanship” by the Lakers during Monday’s Game 4, particularly late in the fourth quarter when Draymond Green was called for a foul as he attempted to set a screen on guard Lonnie Walker IV, who tumbled to the floor upon contact.Kerr said Tuesday that it was “a blatant flop. (Walker) just takes a dive and the ref bought it.”Asked about Kerr’s comment prior to Game 5 on Wednesday at Chase Center, Ham stayed above the fray.“I just control what I can control. That’s coaching my team,” Ham said. “I don’t go down the rabbit hole, pointing fingers, blaming the official. I never did when I was an assistant coach and I don’t ...Dutch suspect in Natalee Holloway disappearance will be sent from Peru to US to face fraud charges
